I couldn’t have been more than a year and half old. I suspect I had just begun being a sentient being because I remember nothing prior to this event. A group of adults had gathered outside a Verdeland Park home in Layton. They seemed to have gathered under or near shade trees that dominated the locale near the home. I hazily remember most of the adults sitting on chairs in grass bordering the common area to all homes. The people were related to me because I remember trusting them implicitly. I don’t remember much of what I was wearing. I only recall that my clothes seemed normal and everyday casual.
I remember venturing out into the common area about 15 or 20 feet away from the group of people gathered on chairs. I don’t remember especially any of their faces nor demeanors. I only remember that they seemed friendly toward me and interested in my well-being. I know I couldn’t have been walking long because I seemed to walk with my hands held up to the height of my shoulders as young toddlers are known to walk prior to becoming confident in their walking abilities.
Having walked to the edge of my courage, I turned toward the people who had begun coaxing me to return to the safety of their gathering. I can’t be sure; but I seem to remember the closest person to be my Grandfather Ford and he seemed to be calling to me to return to them. I was encouraged by their coaxes and I quickly returned on wobbly legs from my brief excursion into the vastness of the common area that could not have been very big.
I remember nothing else of the event.
